# Song Saver

> A free web tool that converts Spotify tracks, albums, playlists, and YouTube / YouTube Music videos into high-quality MP3 files for offline listening. Includes a Spotify search and an artist browser. No registration required.

Song Saver is a browser-based utility at songsaver.org. Users either paste a public link or search by name, then receive a downloadable MP3 with embedded cover art. All conversion happens server-side; no software is installed on the user's device. The service is free and requires no account.

- Spotify track URLs — `https://open.spotify.com/track/<id>`
- Spotify album URLs — `https://open.spotify.com/album/<id>`
- Spotify playlist URLs — `https://open.spotify.com/playlist/<id>`
- Spotify artist URLs — `https://open.spotify.com/artist/<id>`
- Bare Spotify track IDs (22-char base62) — pasted as-is, treated as a single track
- YouTube video URLs — `https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<id>` and `https://youtu.be/<id>`
- YouTube Music URLs — `https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=<id>`
- Free-text search queries (track name, artist name, album name) — entered on the Search page

Spotify and YouTube inputs are resolved to metadata (title, artist, cover art, duration) and the audio is fetched from the matching source. Free-text searches are resolved against Spotify's catalog before download.
